Sam Screnci aka QUICKSOUND is Montreal’s GODFATHER of Afro House music.

His style combines world music elements with electronica into a unique blend of Deep Afro Latin Tribal House.

A talented percussionist, producer and DJ, he founded Quicksound in 1996. Known for Music Production, Remixing and Live Performances featuring Electronic Beats and World Musicians. Sam composed & produced three songs with LIONEL RICHIE, including the hit single “All Around The World” which netted two Grammy Nominations for the album “Coming Home”. The CD charted in the Top 10 in Europe & the U.S.A. and was certified GOLD by the RIAA. The single was remixed by BOB SINCLAR and was a top 5 hit in Europe. He has performed at major House Music Events like Black & Blue, WMC Miami, Bal En Blanc, Nuit Blanche au Maroc etc... In 2012 he added 15 time Grammy Winner LUISITO QUINTERO (Masters at Work) to Quicksound's live show. Luisito is one of the world's best timbales players and a collaborator of Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea etc.. Quicksound released 12” house music singles on labels like Twisted America, Ready Mix Records and Cirque Du Soleil Musique. Their music graced the Mix CD’s of superstar DJ’s DANNY TENAGLIA, ROGER SANCHEZ and BUDDHA BAR. Their remix of Cirque Du Soleil’s “Africa” was released on vinyl alongside a remix by TIESTO and on the “Solarium Delirium” CD on Universal Records. In 2014 he founded Tumbao Records. The first release will be a collaboration between Quicksound & ALPHA YAYA DIALLO. Alpha is a Guitarist / Singer from Guinea who was discovered by Peter Gabriel, who signed his band Fatala to Real World. Alpha moved to Canada in 2000 and won 3 Juno Awards. As Musical Director for Terrakarnaval at the Just For Laughs Festival, Quicksound worked with JEAN PAUL GAULTIER, GUY LALIBERTÉ (Cirque Du Soleil) and remixed 6 songs by Quebec Folk music legend FELIX LECLERC. Quicksound jammed with THE BAND at Allaire Studios at Glen Tonche Estate in New York and collaborated with talented artists such as 5 time Grammy Winner Steve Thompson, Coral Egan, Bran Van 3000, Papo Swing's House Of Rhumba, DJ Alain Vinet, Elage & Karim Diouf.
